Compact Netgate Appliances for workstations, branch offices, and smaller networks – from the Netgate 1100 to the 6100. The devices are optionally available with pfSense® Plus as a firewall, VPN gateway, and router or as a Secure Router with TNSR®.

Which model is suitable depends on bandwidth, number of users, VPN connections, and the desired security features. LanCologne will advise you on this and, if desired, handle the basic configuration.

Which Netgate desktop appliance is right for your network?

Models 1100 to 6100 are shipped with pfSense Plus; the 6100 MAX is alternatively available as a Secure Router with TNSR. Within the pfSense models, throughput, number of ports, and expandability differ, not the software's range of functions.

Netgate 1100 and 2100: Home Offices and Small Businesses

Both appliances are compactly built and run with pfSense Plus. The Netgate 1100 is the entry-level solution for home offices and small branches. The 2100 offers more Ethernet ports and more CPU reserves if IDS/IPS or multiple VPN tunnels are also to be run. You can find the specific throughput values on the respective product page.

Netgate 4200 and 6100: when your connection gets faster

The Netgate 4200 is designed for gigabit connections and multiple VLANs. The 6100 is the most powerful desktop appliance in the current Netgate lineup and is also available with TNSR software if you need significantly higher routing throughput.
